Membership Benefits

Annual membership fees are as follows:

Regular Membership:              $25.00

Associate Membership:           $50.00

Junior Membership:                 $10.00

Honorary Membership:           By invitation

Note: Membership fees are payable within the Society’s calendar year and will not be prorated.

Subscription to any of the membership categories listed above provides members with a number of benefits:

  1. Eligibility to apply for the KenBC Business Packages (see below)
  2. Subsidized rates for KenBC Special Annual Events, i.e. Madaraka & Jamhuri Day celebrations
  3. Access to the ‘Members Only’ (In Progress) section on the KenBC website which contains:
    1. Job / work opportunities
    2. Information on available programs e.g. job clubs,  immigrant services, etc.
    3. Business opportunities, e.g. event catering, community services, etc.
    4. KenBC Marketplace – where members can sell and/or exchange merchandise
    5. Chat room or discussion forum for social networking
    6. Useful links

Business Packages

KenBC recognizes that many Kenyan Residents in BC are business owners and entrepreneurs, looking for new avenues to market their products and services.

The new philosophy at KenBC is to leverage and facilitate success for those who are business inclined in our community by providing a platform to penetrate the Kenyan Community market and beyond.

To this end, KenBC has developed a range of marketing and advertising packages that are available exclusively to members upon application.

Applicants may also contact the Directors for special rates on specific package components.  Applicant must provide all artwork for website (72DPI minimum) and display material.
